Almost three years ago my young daughter (who was 2 years old at the time) woke up and couldn’t walk. Her knee was constantly swollen, red and hot and we spent months seeing specialists trying to work out what was wrong. At the same time she was constantly sick, with vomiting and diarrhea.
When handed a diagnosis of a autoimmune disease, juvenile arthritis, in my gut I felt that there was more that we could do to help her symptoms. I didn't know what or how, but I knew I needed to do what I could to help her.
That's when we decided that there HAD to be a better way.
I made it my life’s work to study the real science about food and nutrition, and the impact it has on all the systems in our body.
I spent thousands of hours researching arthritis, gut health, inflammation, nutrition, our immune system, environment health and the impact of epigenetics.
I spent every single day exploring with my daughter ‘what's going on in there?’.
